The TWISMA Advisory Board (AB) meeting was held online on 20 November 2025.
The meeting was attended by the following AB members:
Anna Vedda (University of Milano-Bicocca, Italy)
Vladimir Babin (Institute of Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic)
Valery Dormenev (Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany)
Yevhen Izvarin (Morgan Advanced Materials, USA)
Igor Pritula (Institute for Single Crystals, Ukraine)
Laura Wollesen (ECM Greentech, France)
Agenda and Reports
The meeting featured three scientific and project-related presentations:
Overview of the TWISMA project. Development of YAG:Ce and BSO crystals for HEP experiments by O. Sidletskiy (Institute for Scintillation Materials, NAS of Ukraine)
Development of fast-timing GAGG:Ce crystals by K. Lebbou (Institute of Light and Matter, France)
Tests of developed garnet and BSO crystals for application in future calorimeters by J. Delenne, G. Terragni (CERN)
Discussion Highlights
AB members raised numerous questions regarding:
Codoping strategies explored by TWISMA partners for developing ultrafast scintillators,
Structural and compositional nature of defects in BSO crystals,
Further steps required to finalize prototype detector tests.
The Board emphasized the importance of completing performance validation of the newly developed materials in the context of next-generation particle physics experiments.
We sincerely thank all Advisory Board members for their valuable input and constructive discussion!
