New TWISMA scientific meeting

A regular scientific meeting was held online on Thursday, April 24, 2025. As usual, each partner presented their achievements since the previous meeting in December 2024.

Prof. Sidletskiy reported on the progress in the development of bulk garnet and BSO crystals at ISMA. Additionally, 100 scintillation fibers with one of the optimal compositions were fabricated for SpaCal tests at CERN.

Dr. Valerii Kononets (ILM) provided an update on the GAGG:Ce composition optimization and preparations for the Czochralski growth of large crystals.

The CERN group presented a report on recent tests concerning radiation tolerance and timing parameters of YAG:Ce, GAGG:Ce, BSO, and BGSO scintillators.
